I was honoured to have recently been asked to write an article for Australian new music magazine CutCommon about my friend, composer Michael Grebla. I wrote it shortly after hearing the world premier of his new piece Sympathy, performed by soprano Amber Evans and cellist Issei Herr at a concert of all new music by Australian composers given in New York City on 26 January (Australia Day).
